Global communications agency, LEWIS PR, saw a jump in revenues and profits in the last financial year as it expanded its worldwide footprint.
Revenues for the year to the end of July 2009 increased by 11% to £18.6million. Profit before tax rose by 5% to £1.4million, with retained profits growing to £4.1million and year-end cash of £2.3m.
During the year, LEWIS continued to expand its network to 38 offices, with new teams in Tokyo, Bristol and Lisbon. Since the year-end the network has been further enlarged with the acquisition of Antwerp-based Leads Utd, one of Europe’s best known PR firms.
LEWIS expects further strong profits growth in 2010, as it strengthens its traditional technology focus with new social media products and builds its new consumer and travel practice.
Chris Lewis, founder and CEO of LEWIS PR, commented:

We’ve had an excellent start to the year with client and project wins including Telefónica o2, Siemens, Panasonic, NorthgateArinso and Emma Bridgewater. The quality of new business coming through proves that LEWIS has the right skills, scale and campaign imagination to strengthen global brands and build their reputation further through a mix of social media, traditional PR, corporate and crisis communications.

LEWIS celebrates its 15th birthday in June and is planning a series of global events as part of its birthday activities.
