1995 - LEWIS is founded by Chris Lewis. Rapidly attracts a number of clients and establishes a reputation for its 'corporate journalism' approach to PR.




1997 - Opens first European office in Munich, Germany. Becomes a top fifteen IT PR agency in the UK.




1998 - Opens a second European office in Paris, France, as well as its first presence in North America, based in San Diego, CA.




1999 - First agency to launch a Virtual Press Room service - an online environment where editors and analysts can gain 24x7 access to client material. A second North American office is established in Boston, MA.




2000 - First agency to establish its own photographic unit, delivering front-page quality visuals to publications. Opens an office in the Netherlands to cover the Benelux region.




2001 - LEWIS UK enters top five in IT PR rankings following a string of successful campaigns. PRWEEK votes LEWIS 'Hi-Tech Agency to Watch'. Wins several other awards including Young PR Professional of the Year.




2002 - Opens first office in Asia Pacific, based in Sydney, Australia. In Europe, LEWIS Sweden opens its doors in Stockholm. Huge growth despite recession as the agency attracts leading brands. First agency to use video in repurposing coverage and streaming it across the Web.




2003 - Completes first acquisition providing a presence in Singapore. In the US, PRWEEK ranks LEWIS the fastest growing tech agency, following the opening of an office in San Francisco, CA. Meanwhile, LEWIS UK tops the ranking in the tech PR sector and enters the top ten generalist agency table. Offices are opened in Spain (Madrid), Italy (Milan) and Denmark (Copenhagen). LEWIS is now the 12th largest global agency, according to PRWEEK.




2004 - LEWIS continues to grow internationally, opening up in Hong Kong and forming gateway agreements in Canada and Eastern Europe.




2005 - Agency attracts a mix of emerging brands and more blue-chips. LEWIS also continues to recruit fresh talent as the agency’s reputation for excellence is established. Fifth US office opens, in New York.




2006 - LEWIS is awarded International Consultancy of the Year finalist by PRWEEK and wins CNET Networks, UK Technology PR Campaign of the Year. The international network expands to 21 wholly-owned offices with a new Mumbai office in September.




2007 - LEWIS announces plans to double its global network by adding a further 20 offices over the next two years.




2008 - Offices open in Bristol, Warsaw and Tokyo. LEWIS wins Bulldog Reporter Best Technology Campaign Award (US) and is ranked number two in PR JOURNAL’S IT PR league table (Germany).




2009 - Strengthened Iberian presence with first Portuguese office in Lisbon. LEWIS Group makes largest ever acquisition - leading European Communications agency,  Leads United. LEWIS also named US Holmes Report Technology Agency of the Year and Small Agency of the Year by PR News. Launched ‘Digital Vision’ - a global internal program to educate and implement social media tools and tactics across the business.
